After 2+ months, we have recruited 3 families at our Pediatric Centre for Weight and Health in Edmonton. So far, ~80% of families approached were not interested in research or thought the study was too time-consuming.
Since it’s been a struggle to recruit families into our pilot study, the aim of this phase of research will be to enhance our current recruitment and retention strategies.
Look out for our next blog post to learn about several strategies to recruit and retain families in research, and see how we can put them to use for the RMI-Family pilot study.
