Yesterday, data from our RMI-Family pilot study were presented at the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI) Annual Research Day (poster on pg 174) in Edmonton, AB. This conference provided me the opportunity to share our pilot data with trainees and researchers as well as gain insights from attendees. Talking with visitors who stopped by my poster also gave me the chance to think of various ways to present and describe our RMI-Family study. Overall, it was very helpful and I received great feedback.
Some of the meeting highlights that resonated with me were the keynote address by Dr. Andreas Laupacis (St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto) and a workshop on grant (scholarship) funding by Drs. Christian Beaulieu, Rhonda Bell, Joel Dacks, and Lonnie Zwaigenbaum from UAlberta. It was really informative and inspiring.
This year, it was especially fulfilling to be one of the WCHRI volunteers. Thank you for a great day, WCHRI!
